April 29, 2024 - A nose of roasted nuts, mushroom, wet stone, lime, a touch of petrol and that Nikolaihof funk. Round but bright. Great length with phenolic grip. Deftly balanced with real depth. Superb and at the perfect point for me.

October 4, 2023 - Visits in the Wachau and Kamptal; 10/4/2023-10/5/2023 (In and around the Wachau and Kamptal, Lower Austria): From the first whiff, this is a real step up from the other wines poured. There is excellent depth and poise as it gets perfumed with tones of lemon peels, peaches, flinty notes, crushed rocks, apples, nectarines, and loads of white flowers. The Medium bodied feel shows some lovely, extra weight and seriousness along with tart, high acidity. This is a real delicious and beautiful Riesling that is drinking well now and can easily develop for years to come.

September 13, 2023 - Austrian Estate Visits; 9/13/2023-9/15/2023 (In and around the Wachau valley): Light color. Some early varnish/petrol. Lean and lithe. Dry, mineral, and lemony. No wood influence here. I love its impact and coverage despite its lighter weight. Excellent young brisk Riesling.
