December 29, 2022 - lgiht champagne color, sexy ripe pear and apple nose, a decadent cream showing already, lemon torte, pastry crust, on the palate strongly pear oriented fruit, ripe and unruly but with terrific structure and acids to counter, good finish that is very slightly clipped at present, there are a lot of good things going on here but they need a few years to come together, as with the Suenen C+C and Oiry 18 base champagnes recently tasted-this is yet another really wild and fun 2018 that also has the structure to prevent a wine from becoming flabby or clunky, it will certainly be interesting to try some other 2018s as they come along, this one has great potential and just needs a little time, my first encounter with this producer.
