Community Tasting Notes 9

April 5, 2024 - Medium plus ruby, slight purple on the colour, with a decently wide rainy, translucent rim, showing its youth. Slow, fat legs on the glass.

On the nose, great mix of red and black fruits and earth. Black cherries, raspberries, smoke, wet earth, and slight hints of olives. There is some presence of oak but it is quite well integrated.

Quite beautiful on the palate with leathery and red and black fruity notes, similar to the nose. Leather, wet earth, peppercorns, black cherries, and black plums are all integrated together with the slight oak and acidity. Tannins are a little grippy, with a decently long, peppery finish.

Powerful and luscious, this is quite a delicious CdP.

March 6, 2024 - During a MOT walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. Lighter than the 2020, pleasant entry level CdP.

August 27, 2023 - Way too young but promises much. Leave for a few years.

July 19, 2023 - Very nice. PnP and drank over 90 minute dinner including pizza with hot honey (delicious), and the wine was delicious. I would try to give it some air if possible, maybe an hour decant or slow ox, but this is a nicely balanced wine.
