March 30, 2024 - Decanted around 3 hours prior to serving. Poured into Grassl Libertes. Quite primary, as you would expect. Pretty broad, on the riper side for pinot but maintains balance.

February 1, 2024 - Decanted a portion on day 1 and it opened within an hour. Vacuvin’d the rest and similar results on day 2. On day 3 did not decant and liked it the most. Medium ruby purple color. Cherry cordial and some raspberry on the nose. Cherry, red cassis, pepper on the midpalate, and 35-40 sec finish. OK without food (maybe 92-93 pts) but really shines with food and can likely pair with just about anything, including blackened chicken pasta, breaded sand dabs, or Mexican. Really nice balance.

December 28, 2023 - Double decanted around 2 hours before pouring. Didn’t get much time with this but it is forward with pretty ripe red fruit on the nose. Showing California sunshine and interested to see where the next bottle goes in a few years.

July 3, 2023 - Blind Tasting at Mi Casa: #2 of 5 in the blind. Excellent QPR. Would seek out again. This had the prettiest nose of the 5 on the table. High acid, strawberries, cherries. Dehydrated bing cherries on the palate.

July 3, 2023 - Blind pinot tasting (The Sumoba compound): Nose of red cherries with a soft touch of ripe blueberries, and pretty flowers with soft touch of grass. On day 2, lighter red berries without being bright or too sour, and notes of clean, fuzzy apricots have emerged.

On the palate, light mix of red berries and stone fruit, and a bit of light heat on the tail end. Heat dissipates with some time, finishes with a nice minerality. Not much change on day 2, heat seemed to have resurfaced again.

[Blind rank: 2nd out of 5]
