May 21, 2023 - A blend of equal parts barrique ages Nebbiolo and Barbera a dark ruby color with purple. A sweet perfume of red and black fruits smoke , licorice ,round pure style , excellent wine.

September 17, 2018 - Dark fruit (black cherry), earth, tar, floral. Good acidity. Lingering finish. Nice depth of flavor. Really enjoyable

October 18, 2008 - Third bottle of this wine. By far its best showing. Decanted to remove sediment. Not the most complex wine, but this is drinking as well as it will ever drink.

January 22, 2007 - This continues to open and develop nicely. Showed juicy black fruit and floral notes on the nose. Bright black cherry fruit is juicy and fresh if a little simple. Nice fine ripe tannin on the back-end. Fun to drink, although not really complex enough yet to fully justify the price.

April 15, 2006 - Mmuch better now than 12 months ago, this shows dark black raspberry and tar on the nose. Bracing, juicy, entry with black cherry/raspberry fruit, tar, old wet wood, and some earthy notes in the mouth. Still quite tannic and very juicy - some might even call it sour, but that's not how I experience the wine. Long.
