Community Tasting Notes 20

  • Stephen Rash Likes this wine:

June 6, 2022 - Dark garnet in color w/slight hints of bricking and opaque in the glass; aromas of cherry, cassis, caramel, graphite, and hints of eucalyptus on the nose; tastes of cherry, graphite, and white pepper on the palate; medium body, medium(+) acidity, integrated tannins. There is still lots of life left in this beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon!!

    February 18, 2016 - Properly cellared.
Drank tonite. Beautiful. Could have slept longer, still a bit of tannin but smooth full and long. Best I have drunk in a while

February 19, 2012 - Perhaps trending down, this aged Winemaker's Reserve is showing signs of fatigue. Brown
edges with some red tints, the nose is rather closed with just a whiff of dried herbs. Brewed
coffee stimilates the palate followed by plum notes, cassis and blackberries. A cedary mid
section with a dash of fresh earth. A robust, drying finish folding in sandlewood and echoing
chewy black licorice. Possibly past prime, but good to go at this point for sure. Corking issues,
unsure if effected performance. Drink now
