April 16, 2024 - A pale and airy wine with chambollesque aethereal red fruits and dried flowers scents are followed by a light but exquisitely perfumed red berries infusion, concluding in a fine finish. While this wine does not have the depth and concentration of the great 2020, it is nevertheless a very refined Gevrey which has the potential to deliver additional aromatic complexity in a couple of years. Very fine.

March 24, 2024 - A mighty effort for the vintage. Very open and giving right now, doesn’t take a lot to hit top form. Ripe raspberries, strawberries and purple violets; rather vivid and pure, with peppery spices dancing across the palate.

March 22, 2024 - Joyaux en Côte de Nuits (Marsannay/Gevrey-Chambertin) - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Tonnellerie Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin): Walkaround tasting with the producers. Light style with good+ balance and depth, this will drink well young.

March 19, 2024 - Pierre @domaine_duroche poured his magnificent LSJ 2021 when in Singapore, and I have been excited to taste the rest of his 2021s. Due to the low yield for the vintage, this is a blend of regular village and lieux-dits Le Clos, Les Champs, En Vosne and Les Champeaux 1er Cru. Nose and palate both pretty and delicate, yet generous. Predominantly cherry and wood spice given the young age, with lively acidity from the vintage. Will definitely outperform it’s humble village label with some bottle age
