    July 7, 2022 - Opened 2 hours.
Light ruby color with slight bricking.
Drinking beautifully, but probably a few years past peak drinking.
Really nice floral notes, Leather, cassis, dark chocolate. Sour cherry, anise some forrest floor, but not much funkiness on this wine. Drink them if you have them.

June 25, 2022 - This bottle had some brett/animal funk on the nose and palate that was a little distracting, but past that it still showed immense depth with rich dark fruit, earthy leather, and spice notes. Top tier complexity. The wine had plenty of youthful tannins to stand up to food, but showed well on its own.

June 15, 2022 - Followed in glass for 3 hours. Started opening up after 1 hour and gradually expanded.

Nose: Closed initially with some wood scents. After 1 hour showed floral notes, cedar/cigar and cassis, ever evolving and increased in complexity.

Palate: Silky smooth, medium body. Tastes surprisingly young with good freshness, refined but still present tannins and an abundance of fruit (which became more apparent after an hour). Finish is long and tails off with a more cedar/pencil shavings/cigar flavor.

No need to wait but give it 1-2 hours of air. Very nice!

June 3, 2022 - With the 89 H-B and Mouton, this was the most refined of the three. Lovely almost Burgundian perfume with lots of red to the plum fruit and plenty of florals in addition to light mulch and tobacco. Elegant.

March 14, 2022 - This is still the best vintage of Margaux that I've ever had and while i wouldn't say that this bottle quite lives up to that bottle it's a lovely wine. Much like the '76 alongside it, it felt like it needed some time to open up. Had been popped and double decanted at 3 pm but then closed again. We were pouring prob around 7 pm and certainly felt like it was really hitting it's stride closer to 9 or 9:30. Always good.
