November 3, 2022 - 2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Barrel Tasting - Richer than the Volnay. Interesting to observe black fruit, blackberry and black cherry, meaty, a hint of oak, very spicy, noticeable but fine tannins and a long rich concentrated black fruit driven finish. This is a classic Pommard, i.e. big, rich, black fruit driven and earthy. This will drink beautifully in twenty years when sous bois fully emerges.
