November 15, 2009 - a "budget" vertical of the 2006, 2007 and 2008. This 2006 is still very enjoyable, very smooth now, everything integrated. Just not as fresh anymore, the fruit faded a bit; mostly blackberry and smoke. I liked it but would not recomend holding it longer than this (~3.5 years). Second place, very close to the winner 2007. 2008 a bit behind.

May 27, 2008 - Blueberry, smoke, pepper. Typical Shiraz, rich in juicy fruit and pretty smooth. Very good for 5 euro! I put a few in the cellar to see what happens in a couple of years, but it might be best now.
Tasted alongside a slightly more expensive 2004 Lindemans Shiraz Reserve Padthaway, which was a bit softer and cooler, but not really better and actually remarkably similar. -
