April 3, 2024 - Medium ruby. Smelled cherry and oregano, with some vanilla; the taste was of sour cherry and earth and leather. Medium bodied and fairly balanced albeit with acidity outweighing the tannin, just enough intensity to keep up with your red sauce pasta. Finishes medium and fruity. A charmer.

March 17, 2024 - Consumed over an hour from a half split. Appearance: Clear, pale-medium ruby. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of cherry, rose petal, and new leather. Palate: Dry, medium- acid, medium tannin is soft, medium body, medium intensity, 13.0% abv with developing flavors of cherry, raspberry, and leather with a medium finish.

March 10, 2024 - High/Low Blind Tasting III (Amy and Scott's house): Splash decanted, I found this to be a simple and fruity party wine or pasta wine. At least the fruit is juicy and not jammy. Nothing special but I'll try my last bottle with some pasta and I suspect it will show better, not served blind alongside a 2011 Flacianello.

March 9, 2024 - High/Low Blind Tasting III (Eagan, MN): High Low Tasting: A simple Chianti but good overall. Featuring cranberry, spices, earth and rose petals. Light in color and short to medium finish.

March 3, 2024 - Pop and pour. Grassl Cru stem.
Tasted initially on its own and then with food (rigatoni with a tomato and chicken sauce, in case you were wondering).
Bright strawberry nose. Hint of cedar and some blackberries weaving in.
Tart bright intro of red berries. Some woodsy oak notes mid palate. Opening to some mushroom soy touch.
Pretty decent for a simple Chianti Rufina.

    13.% abv.
    Branded Diam 5 composite cork.
