December 9, 2007 - A last renegade bottle of a wine I thought I'd finished. From a case bought when the wine was already past its best, albeit for a knock-down price. This still has some attractive dark plum fruit on the nose, even if a bit caramelised, but the palate - despite hints of its fruity prime - has now fallen apart:lean, mean and astringent.
