October 12, 2023 - It's sort of a shame Joel Peterson doesn't make more wines from Bordeaux grapes because he's just as good at those as he is at Zin. This is big and tannic, but the tannins are fine and not, at this age, out of balance with the fruit. It's a touch stewed (and for my palate, pretty much every wine, regardless of varietal, has a bit of that out of Bedrock), but its got good acid, lots of cassis and herbs, no noticeable oak, and is generally just a very good example of a Sonoma bdx blend. Good QPR, too.
