April 26, 2024 - Cinnamon scone, pomegranate, raspberry, cherry, hibiscus, and poppyseed. Smooth, dry, earthy palate. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
I stole a couple of descriptors from Wine Spectator. My score has some potential, but I was digging the BdMs at the Grand Tour in New Orleans. -

Med+ intensity, red date, raspberry, liquorice, underbrush, dried red roses, tomato leaf, herbs, orange peel, tomato paste, developing.
Dry, high acidity, high alcohol, high tannins, med+ intensity, red plum, cranberry, orange peel, med+ finish.
Overall, this wine is quite perfume on the nose. Very elegant style. The notes on the nose is more complex than on the palate. -

November 24, 2023 - Ordered at a restaurant, this bottle was uncorked, poured and serially tasted over a two-hour period. Medium-to-deep ruby in color, it flaunts an aromatic profile of red bramble fruits, Montmorency cherries, dried flowers, tobacco, savory herbs and loamy earth. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic, proportionately oaked and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, coating them with medium-weight, fine-grained tannins. Layered in the middle and medium-to-long on the back end, this is showing well now but will likely benefit from a bit more time in the cellar. If you choose to pop the cork at this stage, give it an hour of air if possible. Drink 2025-2033.
