May 24, 2023 - A few days ago, we had La Kiuva Rouge de Vallee, a 70% Nebbiolo (clone) from Aosta, and now the Noah Bramaterra, an 80% Nebbiolo from the Alpine foothills of Alto Piemonte, a few dozen kilometers east of La Kiuva. The Aosta wine sells for ~$20 and we bought this one for $24, though it usually retails for as much as $45. The wines have much in common -- light body, elevated acidity, brightness, and a set of flavors centered on cranberry and rosemary -- but the Bramaterra has extra layers of flavor and depth and pleased my wife, who is normally suspicious of lean reds. If I ever have another opportunity to buy this for $24, I would buy a lot of it.

March 29, 2023 - Very aromatic nose. Notes of strawberry, milk chocolate, earth. Quite light and refreshing and well balanced. Not the most complex but enjoyable for a casual evening with friends.

January 27, 2022 - Very pleasant nose of Sour cherry, floral, dirt, initially something green but this was gone within the first 15-20 minutes. Medium to light bodied, Tart red fruit, cherry, transitioning to an herbaceous finish. Much brighter day 2 and 3. The acidity is definitely there, tannins are fine but present. This has a lot of subtly to it but is pleasant to drink now, especially if you need a Nebbiolo fix. Very enjoyable.

October 4, 2021 - Nose: red berries, florals, bit of spice and leather. Palate: high toned red fruit, leather and cherry preserve. Depth comes in with a darker core of polished yet firm tannin. Rounds out with olive, mint and orange peel.

Future potential is great here, but shows well now too. I have now consumed three and will cellar the rest.
