October 27, 2023 - this was so painfully grape-flavored and processed-tasting when it was opened 48 hours ago, that I simply had to reseal it and wait. Now, today, it is very good to drink—very good. (Yes, I checked it yesterday too.) Eric, what's going on? There were (corporate social media) reports of mouse trouble with the 2018 vintage (or was it 2017?); my attempts to confirm that gave mixed results. I ended up a fan of 2018 (and 2017). This 2020 is—kerplunk—very far planted on the safety side of of the excitement margin. AFTER 2 DAYS air, it is quite delicious, and vibrant in its communication of southern northern Rhône flavor. Warm red and black berries, strapped with newly minted tannins, fill the modest frame provided by stone and acid. Incipient tar, olive, espresso, jamón, and raspberry conspire beneath the event. I hope I find a bottle of this in five years—it might bloom into original claims of significance.
Peak drinking goodness is in the rearview mirror after 50 hours open.

April 13, 2023 - Al naso leggeri profumi di frutti a bacca nera, tabacco, pelle. Al palato media/bassa struttura e corpo, buon equilibrio, sapido, minerale, speziato, polposo. Buona persistenza.

December 7, 2022 - Popped and poured. Perfumed aroma of black fruit. Rich, sappy flavors of boysenberry, earth. Pleasantly bitter cherry and licorice finish. Forward, young, firm backbone, some complexity. Excellent wine, decent value.
