May 13, 2023 - Pale ruby color. Aromatics, red fruit but some minerality like shale or river rock. Medium bodied, medium+ acid. Finish is medium to long. Very pleasant. Light to no tannins. This is one of the few wines where I felt like the soil composition really comes through. Lava Cap boasts about their volcanic soil so it was good to be able to taste the uniqueness it has to offer in this Barbera.
