Community Tasting Notes 9

June 13, 2020 - Terrible vintage by all accounts with a hot spring but rainy summer. Surprisingly fresh and juicy on opening but went into a sulk before coming back. Wine eh? Love typicity the of Bordeaux, of herbaceousness, cedar, blackberries. A staunchly traditionalist and restrained wine. Absolutely love Magdelaine.

March 22, 2017 - Another lovely bottle - such a pity about this estate diappearing.

February 20, 2017 - Good evolution, maybe slightly over the hill. Very resolved and smooth.

March 7, 2016 - What a positive surprise. Still lots of young fruit. I served this blind and seasoned wine drinkers thought it was 10 years younger. Lot's of wonderful dark fruit with some licorice. Fantastic representative for the best they can do on the right bank...

March 11, 2011 - Great nose from the word go. Big open and elegant nose. A bit of a dark horse this wine from an avg vintage. We did not have time to decant this but this wine was singing. Good deal of dark fruit, earth. Very nice indeed. Lacks a bit of finish but we couldnt ask for more from it given the vintage.
