  March 31, 2024 - Ooh, hello! Notes of crushed black olives, neck snapping acidity and layers of violets and strawberry. Lovely minerality on the finish. Taut. Dark and no flab here.

  February 26, 2024 - Medium-deep ruby color in the glass with slightly reductive nose of strawberry, red currant, and plum. Bright acidity, medium-full body, and light-moderate crushed velvet tannin. Moderately concentrated flavors of cranberry sauce, blackberry, and red apple with a little warm spice on the finish.

  February 23, 2024 - Deep ruby colored with medium intensity viscosity (13.0% ABV). The nose has medium intensity aromas of garigue and funk, Cinnamon, bramble berry, blackcurrant pie, açaí berry, gamy meat and damp forest wood. The palate is dry with medium acidity, medium tannins and a medium body. Flavors of charred oak, açaí, blackcurrants, earth and some baking spice lead to a medium (-) finish. The game note reverberates at the end. Well balanced with taut grip, this wine gets 91 points from me. $26, 5 stars. First time for me with the Refosk grape btw. Drink till 2029.

  November 11, 2023 - By the glass at Foul Witch in NYC. Nose is really compelling; earthy, leafy, spicy, red berries. A lot of stuff going on! Palate has some really nice balance; great acidity, elegant tannins, tomato leaf, raspberries, long finish. Very cab franc-esque, very gluggable. I need more of this.

  September 4, 2023 - Had to try this Croatian wine. Credible effort, but I will not be rushing out to buy a case. If I had been visiting Croatia, I would have loved it, but the world has many wonderful reds.
