March 20, 2024 - 91+, ripe orchard fruit, quince apples, grapefruit, white peach, flint, medium acidity. medium body, rich on the palate with plenty green and lees notes. could be more balanced. personally prefer the leaner willowlake but quality wise they are similiar.

February 29, 2024 - greenish pale straw and light body. a bit of vegetable funk trails a nose of melon with mango, lemon and a hint of oak and flint. fresh and silky in mouth, the fruit flows in a frame of bright acidity and chalky minerality; saline, nutty and honeyed streaks permeate the white fleshed flavours. long finish.

beautifully balanced, and reminiscent of a fresh Montrachet, drinks well now and should for a handful of years.

13% AbV; fruit was handpicked and whole-bunch pressed directly into 500L French oak puncheons for a natural fermentation; matured on the lees ten months.

January 23, 2024 - Easily the best chardonnay I've ever had, and probably the highest quality:price ratio of any wine I've had. On nose, there is struck match, toasted popcorn, motor oil/mechanic shop. On palate, waves and waves of concentration without ripeness. The toasty oak on the nose is seamlessly integrated on the palate. If this had less of a monolithic nose, I'd give it 100 points.

December 18, 2023 - This one lives up to the K&L hype. Excellent and interesting stuff. Better warmer than fridge temp. Opened up and stayed bright and herbal for about 3 hours. Will probably get more of this.
