May 2, 2013 - Road tar nose, big structure that masks the over extracted and rapidly fading fruit. No finish. The Emperor has no clothes!

March 28, 2009 - Tasted at a charity event (GGFAGC/09). This wine had a funky bouquet to it and it had a deep colour. The taste was quite bland and I felt that the bottle was past it's prime.

March 28, 2009 - Great Grapes for a Great Cause SQN Tasting -- 2nd Annual (Le Paradou, Washington DC): some debate about whether this bottle was corked -- i don't think so, but perhaps slightly. others felt it was just bretty. it improved with time, so i don't think it was TCA, but i got a band-aid note on the nose. the palate was more pleasant, with black pepper, and pencil lead. the quality shows in the medium+ finish. my least favorite of the reds.
