October 7, 2011 - Great expectations for this 1995 Avvoltore, a Morellino di Scansano top ranked and well aged in oak barrels. Impressive smells while opened, and constantly growing over time, reaching its top after about 2h decanting. Soft fruits and round leather, notwithstanding its Sangiovese grapes, But, at the end, flavors and expecially taste was seemengly slightly evaporated due to a too long staying in the cellar. A couple of years ago surely was better than now. Waiting for my 2003 Avvoltore, meant to to be at its apogee. Dont' wait, drink soon
