April 30, 2024 - Ouf this was sooo vegetal I feel like I was chewing on the stems... I guess this will need time but not sure which direction this will go... definitely a different style or winemaking within the Douro.

February 6, 2024 - Deep purple color. The nose exudes a warm, wintry, but inviting host of currant jam, plum cake, fig paste, along with savory broth and pepper, dried violets, a cool leathery kick, and some graphite and minerals. The palate is grippy but suave with zippy acidity and a concentrated but fresh appeal. Flavors of plums, currant and fig paste, and tart blueberry. Add in some smoky earth, tar, leather, black pepper, anise, along with black tea and nuanced oak. This is juicy, tangy, and complex, and should also age well. Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca with small amounts of Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Sousão, and Tinta Cão.

October 31, 2023 - Dark ruby red. Both red and black fruit in nose and palate. Somewhat smoky. Smooth with tannins which are not too present.

August 21, 2023 - Ruby with purple hues to the rim. Nose of cherry and flower blossom and the flavours of sweet red and black cherry. Soft on the palate with a cedar spice note to add some interest. Good wine, easy to drink young.
