  February 18, 2011 - I’ve had some really good bottles lately (Gorman “The Bully” and the ever-pleasing Delille D2 for example) so maybe I’m a little jaded. No, that’s not it. This wine is just not very good anymore. As I look back on my tasting notes from 3 years ago (3/3/2008) it’s hard to imagine that I held such regard for this wine. But then again, it was not built to last until 2011 so I guess shame on me for keeping it around this long. Tart, austere and acidic with no perceptible fruit. Beautiful color though, but now I’m just being nice. The remaining two bottles will be cooking wine – or paint thinner.

  March 3, 2008 - Great daily drinker. Terrific bouquet of fresh flowers (violets). Bottle contained sediment but not as much as previous tasting notes. Palate shows nice ripe red fruits (cherries).

  January 18, 2008 - Holy sediment, Batman!! No lie there was about a tablespoon of GUNK in the bottle, not to mention the cloudiness of the wine itself. That said, the wine was decent and actually very very good. A bit alcoholic on the nose and pallette, light in flavour but very quaffable. Will lay my other down for at least several weeks to get the sediment taken care of, and will definitely decant it.
