July 4, 2008 - Apple skin, TDN, orange peel and brown spice on the nose. This is a bit on the sweeter side with barely enough acid to balance. The presence of the TDN leads me to believe this is just over peak as it seems to be masking fruit, and their is little else inthe way of flavor maturation. I like some of its upfront fruit character and its overall mouthfeel, but this is a bit simple and showing some 'wear and tear'. I think this is BH 'low end' gear, this coupled by what i believe was MI warm vintage probably has limited this cuvee's aging potential, not bad but should have been drank a year ago.
