Community Tasting Notes 2

April 21, 2024 - Had to try this very reasonably priced offering from Costco for two reasons besides QPR: my Mom's name was Paula and Suckling gave it a 92. Jammy dark fruit nose is combined with dark berry and red currant notes and solid acid backbone and tannins. Excellent with food first with rigatoni and beef/pork ragu then grilled ribeye next day. Has a lot of life, will age nicely in bottle for a few years and I will buy some more soon.

August 29, 2023 - Fruit forward, has just enough tannin to give it a good structure. Red fruit on the nose, brown spice and currant on the palate. Short finish. Has some acid and combined with the fruit, this is a decent food wine.
