So, what about this 2001 Estate? Not bad, really. Been open about 45 mins, in a nice burg stem. The wine is kind of a big, juicy drinker. The nose has some pepper and herbal note (maybe related to my cherry tomatoe comment on this finish?), along with coffee grinds (?). But that palate is all about juicy, toasty black cherry and plum fruits with some anise and maybe a little cherry tomatoe, but not too intrusive.
