September 22, 2018 - Corked. Seemed pretty good beneath that come layer of defective bark. Curse you, TCA.

June 13, 2017 - Aired in bottle for 30 mins. At UE straits.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby core with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of dark earth, dark red cherries, black cherries, black pepper spice, peppermint. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), grippy and structured medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, black cherries, earth, woody spices, peppermint, slight leather. Long finish.
Very good quality. Good deep concentraton of ripe dark fruit, paired with a significant amount of oak influence. Probably assisted by the ripeness of the 2005 vintage. Nice drinking already now. Still feels like it could last another 3-4 years easily.
The most masculine and structured Cru Beaujolais I have tried so far. -

June 3, 2017 - Quite a lot of spicy oak, mature fruit, slightly fiery, soft tannins and mild acidity. A little past prime but that really doesn't bother me.

November 9, 2015 - Very dark color with hints of brown. Nice compact dark and red fruit on the nose as well as some oak. Beautiful fruit and complex, with nice balancing acidity and some very fine tannins. Very fruit forward wine that I really enjoy drinking.

November 6, 2015 - Great, mature nose of cherry, oak spice and a touch of pepper, closer to Bordeaux than Beaujolais. Medium-bodied, dry, with balanced acidity. Primary fruit (mostly cherry) is still there, with silky tannins. The palate, unlike the nose, is clearly closer to Burgundy. This still needs time for the tannins and oak to integrate fully, but it is maturing nicely. Stay tuned.
