  February 20, 2024 - Fresh and youthful nose of lemon, sea salt, oyster shell, toast. Medium intensity, high acidity, medium body, medium intensity, and , medium+ finish. Starts to lose its power after an hour. This would be better enjoyed poolside.

  January 26, 2024 - A really beautiful and balanced champagne. I heard rumors of this wine being overtly mineral and lean but I think those people were potentially fooled by the name of the cuvée. This wine is what I love in champagne. It has a pretty heavy lees character but is not too rich because the high level of acidity makes the wine feel so balanced and complete. Smells like lemon curd and butterscotch, and the pallet is extremely long and lingering. I don’t think there is any reason to hold this champagne any longer as it is drinking perfectly now and everything seems to work in harmony.

  August 5, 2023 - Weekend in Michigan with Wine; 8/5/2023-8/6/2023 (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI): Complex array of fruit with crunchy, minerally textures. I think this would be even better with a touch greater dosage, which what I find to be a near tart finish.
