February 17, 2024 - Ruby color with medium legs. Raspberry, strawberry and cedar on the nose. Cherry, vanilla and white pepper on the palate. Long silky finish.

December 7, 2023 - Still youthful but already drinking well. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of ripe red cherry, cooked red fruits, ripe strawberry. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. With improve with ageing.

November 29, 2023 - Thanksgiving 2023 (Dogwood Grove/Rock Spring, Virginia): Although W-S has a reputation as one of the more age-worthy Cali pinots, I decided to pop this one early (inspired in part by strong CT feedback). This was brimming with dark cherry fruit that evoked a juicy bite into a summertime farmstand cherry. Luscious and smooth. Also showed some elegant notes of cedar, baking spice, and glacé clementines. The clear second-place finisher at the dinner table (behind the Red Burg).
