June 23, 2023 - This is a good wine, more Chablis character than California. Steady and even throughout, its citrus and white fruit flavors are yet restrained but presented in an elegant way. Perhaps its youth is what accounts for it being so restrained as to feel a hint hollow on mid-palate. Nevertheless, quite a lovely wine and if I were choosing something to hold for ten years, this would be it.

June 4, 2023 - I love the entire line of Ramey chards, but Ritchie is my favorite. Chablis like, the citrus and crispness makes it a great food wine. Very tight now, give it 5 years and it will really open. We had it with rich crab cakes and it was perfect
