  July 2, 2017 - From a mag. Very heavy oak dominating, buttery and creamy as others have mentioned. After a little time in the glass this rounded out nicely and the fruit came through. Overall an enjoyable wine but probably would not hold this much longer. Especially in a standard bottle

  April 8, 2017 - Predominantly oak on the nose, with some apple and pear, and some creaminess, as it warms in the glass. Texture is nice. Very oaky and buttery, again with some creaminess, and the smallest ester hint as it warms, but almost no fruit or acid. A bit of toast in the aftertaste. Might have been better years ago when the fruit was there to add complexity. Nearly one-note.
