March 3, 2024 - Unreal nose, complex and addictive. It's hard for the wine to live up it its nose, but it does a creditable job. Great illustration of what blending pinots can accomplish. Pricey. Heaven knows what you would serve to follow a bottle of this black magic.

January 27, 2024 - Oak and a hint of butter masking the brooding, concentrated, dark red cherries. Earth, with a living, breathing, rancid, even decaying quality. A long walk through a mature forest. Clearly was opened in advance of a lifetime of pleasure this bottle will surely deliver.

January 24, 2024 - Billowing on the nose, but also slightly reductive maybe? Definitely has a toasty/roasty side on the nose, toasted spice and brown butter, but then there's pretty ripe cherry and raspberry, a little candied but nothing cloying, pretty notes of rose water and desiccated pine forest too... medium to full, this is so sneaky, it is dense and layered but also has a beautiful ethereal quality, seamless and smooth tannins on the mid-palate, beautiful sweet cherry and floral inner perfume... the sweet fruit really pops on the finish, and everything spreads out and coats magnificently, tannins grip gently, acids fold into everything. Great stuff, pretty much ready to drink, but I would decant it for a few hours to see if that toasty/roasty stuff blows off. Definitely worth following 5 years, if not 20+, hard to tell at this point, as it is already quite immediate, but I have a feeling its sneaky intensity and perfect balance will carry it for many many years.

November 9, 2023 - Big giant nose, almost too powerful. Initial hit of licorice root on the palate. Amarena cherries on the back palate. Long complex finish. Interesting pine resin texture and flavor.

October 25, 2023 - Well balanced, elegant, bright cherry/berry and some darker fruit & spice. Long finish. Loved this Pinot! Tasted at winery.
