September 5, 2023 - Tasted at Cristom Winery tasting room. Bottling from purchased grapes (mostly from Hyland Vineyard with some from Meredith Mitchell) that was fermented 40% whole cluster and age for 11 months in 33% new French oak. The wine is a light ruby color, almost a dark pink. Lightweight body and texture. Bright acidity but slightly hollow in the middle. seems a little on the less-than-perfectly ripe side of things. There is tart strawberry, raspberry and cranberry flavors. This seems like a charming lightweight wine for early drinking that would be best with some similarly lightweight food. lacks a little depth though.
