May 20, 2023 - Truly shocking appearance - dark even for Tavel. I've had cru Beaujolais lighter than this "rosé". But the flavors are bright - strawberry, bit of raspberry, a little bit dusty. Tart finish, lightly acidic but not much. Looking at the color, I thought it could age 4+ years, but tasting it, it's quite fresh and not huge or tannic. Truly one of a kind. Drunk as dessert (or in place of dessert) at Nancy's Hustle in Houston. Not saying it's sweet; it isn't. We just have an enlightened idea of what constitutes dessert.
