December 17, 2021 - Really enjoying this wine. Very smooth, lots of fruit and a long finish. I would say fully mature but the wine is not showing any real signs of age so it may hold here for some time.

October 16, 2021 - Another excellent bottle. Very rich and round. Dark berry flavors. No signs of ageing at all either in the glass or on the nose.

November 21, 2020 - Very impressed. First bottle since purchase in 2008. Very dark in the glass. Perhaps just the slightest signs of bricking at the rim. Full bodied with berry flavors. Long finish. I am not an expert on Cote Rotie but I thought this was a great bottle of wine. Drinking window appears to be way off.

August 20, 2017 - Rich, powerful syrah with dark fruit, olives, and meaty. A little too ripe and extracted to me, but still an interesting wine and enjoyable. Needs a long decant for better balance.

May 19, 2013 - Perhaps this was an off bottle, but it was showing nothing but tart acidity. No real fruit or body. Didn't seem corked or heat damaged, but perhaps something like volatile acidity.

January 12, 2011 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #054; Rhône red. (By AH): Popped and poured the bouquet is elegant, but somewhat locked. There are some red fruits. On the palate good juice. Good cherries, a little pleasant sweetness and good acidity. Medium to full bodied. Early maturity now. Probably at its peak two years from now and then for several years more. Very good wine.

March 26, 2009 - Bright, clear, crisp youthful appearance. Floral (violet) nose, red fruit with a minerally hint of dill. Light acidity with medium to light tannins, quite dry with prominent red fruit flavours. Opened it early and did not decant prior to tasting. I think it would benefit from some time in a decanter to open up and may develop over the next couple of years. Perhaps not enough structure or depth to develop well past the next 4 years (I'd drink by 2011).
