March 15, 2024 - Very brief note - tasted in parallel to the 2018 Calcaire.
The Passion is ever so slightly cloudy, unlike the Calcaire. A touch paler and more orangish than the Calcaire. The attack is frank, fruity with the aromas of red fruit, but also a touch of orange. It was relatively muddled compared to the Calcaire and was more timid on day 1. A good length and intensity - discrete but present tannin. Longer and more intense than the Calcaire, but not on best form on day 1. Was more interesting on day 2. Regardless, came behind the Calcaire in this vintage for me. Further, not as good as the 2015 and in particular the 2016 to my tastes. May be in an awkward age. Even more than the Calcaire, this need a year or two.

April 25, 2023 - Didn't take any notes. Upon opening, nothing special, but given 2-3 hours of air or overnight in the fridge and the complexity arrived. Very fine tannin. Still, to me the 2016 is the better wine and the 2017, despite being from a difficult year has more character. But with time, who knows, as this is still too young. 91?
