  July 26, 2023 - Pretty impressed that you can buy a Howell Mtn AVA wine for under 40 bucks at Costco. And this one is pretty good. Tasty dark fruits, decent nose though not overly expressive. Some wood notes but it is young and that will likely integrate better with time in the bottle. Good acid and decent balance for a youngster. MarkNPT1 gave it a 94+ on initial try.
  
  The only thing keeping this from a higher score for me is that its weight and mouthfeel are just ok. I'll be picking up a few more to cellar. 92 HMC.

  April 1, 2023 - pleasantly surprised. Decanted for 4 hours. Rich floral nose. Dark fruits, rounded out tannins.
