Community Tasting Notes 8

March 26, 2022 - Medium ruby in appearance. Still plenty of color at age 17 or so with some bricking at the rim.

Pronounced and fully mature nose of black fruits, damp earth , tobacco and spice. Very elegant indeed.

The palate is medium bodied and is all about secondary flavors- scorched earth, smoked meats and baking spices. Medium acidity keeps the wine very fresh and food friendly. Just a delicious example of mature and food friendly wine from a so called off year.

This bottle was purchased at the estate in 2015 at age 10 or so and was stored properly ever since.

January 4, 2019 - This is a good Bordeaux from an uneven vintage. I don't think will benefit from more rime in the bottle.

  • Frisken Likes this wine: 90 points

October 13, 2018 - Tett mørk farge. Duft: Mørke bær, lær, sedertre, lakris. Smak: plommer, pastinakk, fint balanserte tanniner, bløt og fin

  • Blauweiss Likes this wine: 91 points

January 9, 2016 - Lovely nose with concentrated red berries, leather, tea. Taste is balanced, medium bodied, sweet red fruits, Tobacco, leather. Long and balanced, the tannins is marked and require food. Classic claret at a perfect stage right now.
