February 19, 2023 - #champagne2023, now bottle #8 was this classic, classy & harmonious Pierre Morlet cuvée (65% CH/35% PN). Deep straw-golden in appearance, lively small and focused pearlage. The wine opens w developed, fresh & linear yellow apples, fine citrus and well-integrated brioche. Chewy, lovely concentrated & bright palate, lots of freshness but also focus, lacks a bit edge, balanced acidic structure, digestable charming & citrus-packed mousse, flavours otherwise baked yellow apple pie. Delightful, v round & creamy finish.
