March 20, 2024 - Tasted at the Barolo and Barbaresco World Opening, NYC. Fermented/mascerated for 60 days with submerged cap then aged in French, Slavonian and Austrian oak 25-50HL botti. This is a bit austere and seems more advanced than it should be with a bricked color. Never had a premoxed Barolo. This just didn’t seem quite right though pleasant enough if you had told me it was a 2011 or 2012??

March 21, 2023 - Spicy nose - smells older than it is; a bit austere on the palate, lacking fruit and generosity.

February 23, 2023 - Jeroboams Barolo 2019 tasting: Very traditional Serralunga nose. But with some sweetness, immediacy, concentration. Tannins are on the rough side- there's a gentle rubbery note, powdery freshness and a really beautiful mouth-coating saturation which lasts and lasts. This would be knockout in 15 years.
