January 6, 2014 - All that one expects and hopes for in a Burgundy. Well knitted cherry and raspberry fruit, licorice and earth undertones and great backbone. Delicious now but could age for another 5 years.

May 15, 2011 - Love Morey's wine. This is no exception. Generally pleasing overall, although lacked a bit of the depth of the Chassagne...of course

April 7, 2010 - Pine, bark, nutmeg, and delicate red fruits throughout. Undulating (e.g., http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/15/realestate/15window.html ) nose that couldn't decide between brambly fruit and stony, pitted fruits. Finish with enough guts to handle red meat, but a delicate body. As someone else might say "very good," or even perhaps "very very good" for the price.

March 29, 2010 - very tight poured out a glass and left the rest to sit in the bottle for 3-4 hours.
dark color for a pinot, pink edges.
nose: sour cranberries some herbs and minerals, peppar in the backend but this does`nt reveal much at all it`s just to tight.
palate: vegetables sour apples and some tart, watery finish 15 sec and a bit too acid for my liking, this one is closed down at this point wait another 5 years. . . -

February 23, 2010 - Note this is a 91 only if you decant for 30 min or pour out a bit and let it breathe 3hrs... yes, three hours. This is wine goes through stages of sour eucalyptus red/white fleshy fruit to round burnt vegetables and deep red fruit to tart black fruits and licorice/cola. Enough grip for another 5 years in the cellar (perhaps preferred), and well worth any price up to $35. Well wonderfully with rare burgers drizzled in fig/balsamic vinegar and pears/wax beans topped with a little dijon.
