May 12, 2024 - Had a taste at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour

    Color. Dark red, but translucent

Nose. Strawberries, cherries, watermelon. Runs a wide spectrum of aromas for a Pinot Noir

Palate. Cherries, cocoa, cranberries. Long lingering finish. Very very yummy

May 4, 2024 - Wine Spectator Grand Tour (Las Vegas, NV): Aged for nine months in French oak barrels (83% new), this Pinot offers ripe aromas and flavors of morello cherries, raspberries, orange zest, black tea, cocoa and cola. Medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (14.0%) and with plush tannins, it still appears to be in the process of incorporating its lofty aliquot of oak, which dominates the mid-palate and lengthy finish. Additional cellaring should allow the wood to assimilate, at which time a higher score will likely be merited. Drink 2026-2032.

December 1, 2023 - While I don't have the time to write as detailed a note as the others, I will say this is excellent and will no doubt improve. Classic nose of cola, ripe cherry, a little anise/licorice, followed by black tea. Well-balanced on the entry, with deep, deep raspberry and cherry fruit, green herbs, more tea, with a cocoa-coffee finish that lasts for a while. Despite the richness of the fruit the wine is still taut and will benefit from a few years in bottle.

September 27, 2023 - Vibrant ruby color. A ripe and lush nose of crushed black cherries, the freshest raspberries, raspberry jam, and as delicious as the fruit is, it blends so well with the non-fruit nuances: deep earth, sage, tobacco, roasted chestnut, cola, yet it maintains this airy feel. Full and suave on the palate, so juicy and fresh with gorgeous fruit (black cherries, deep strawberries, raspberries). Dusty tannins, deep texture, crisp acidity, with complexities of tobacco, green herbs, black tea, with minerals and stony earth. This is so pretty now but it’s almost a shame to enjoy because it will sing so wonderfully in five or six years.
