March 17, 2024 - Same bottle as Melvin. Everyone had this pegged as a Bonnes Mares. Very textural wine, for me the WOTN. Had a bit more depth and pedigree than other wines on the night for me.

March 15, 2024 - Mainly Vosne and Chambolle GCs: Only made from ‘99-‘02, apparently DRC fruit which I previously thought only Potel received. Guessed BM from a warm vintage like 2009, showed remarkable similarities to the other BMs tonight. Some barnyard on the nose that blew off, youthful and vibrant with a silky texture that was more apparent with air that made it more Vosne-like. Superb concentration and balance.

August 27, 2023 - Really lovely nose with notes of underwood, strawberries, leather, red fruit, a hint of VA and a tiny bit of sweet fruit. Good acidity with quite integrated tannins on the palate, more red berries and strawberries, sous bois, tart cherries, and spices. Long finish. Great with that showed excellent balance and nice depth. Drinking beautifully right now.

February 10, 2023 - Gorgeous from first sniff to last sip. Perfectly expressing the magic of Vosne with all the attendant Asian spice box/Vosne Terroir signatures, a silky and seamless mouthfeel, and a beautiful and persistent finish. This was my easy WOTN against 7 other Vosne/Flagey 1er's or better night at S.L.'s place. A' pointe here at age 24 and no reason not to dive in, though I'd think it could hold at this level for 3-5 years, maybe a bit longer as this really wasn't in a secondary or tertiary phase yet. Great juice!

January 1, 2022 - It took about 30 mins in the glass to open up. Once it did, it was quintessential RSV - ample notes of violet, roasted spice, hints of mushroom together with fresh red cherries. We tasted blind, one of the friends called it hints of DRC which was not far off. It has long been rumors that Vincent Girardin got the fruits from DRC in the late 90 - early 2000.

On the palate it took a little bit longer to soften up. The tannin was apparent. The wine was quite constrained given the vintage, consistent with its nose profile and what one would expect from this vineyard, medium finish.
