April 27, 2024 - Stunning. While lower in acidity than I generally prefer, this still retained a sense of balance. Really complex and interesting, clearly made by the hands of a master.

April 12, 2024 - Light hay in color and platinum on the edges. Nose of white peach, stone fruit, candied pear, and a bit of white stone.
Palate has high acidity, off-dry/sec, medium body.
Flavors of white peach, stone fruit, crushed stone.

March 14, 2024 - Dry, apple, pear & stone fruits with hints of lemon & minerality--has some body with decent acidity, I prefer more.

Feels like there is something missing for this to be comparable to a real JJ (as this cuvee is inspired by two JJs, both Julian's son & his namesake, the great Prum) although what more can you ask/do you expect at $29.

March 9, 2024 - I really wish I'd had the wine that Putnam Weekly had below - it sounds great. Had this at Anajak Thai, which is an amazing restaurant, but this wasn't a winner of a wine. I'd mentioned I liked Clemens Busch, and the somm suggested this, which maybe makes sense? I don't know, as I'm not much of a riesling guy. Allegedly this is slightly off-dry, but I found it sweet and simple. It went well with most of our dishes, which was great, but on its own there was a nice bite to it and not much else to recommend.

November 28, 2023 - 8.5% abv. AP 03. NOSE: rich, animated bloom of flowers and a wide range of aromatic botanicals—lilac, ginger, currant, tangerine, carrot, candyshell. MOUTH: laminar speed; incidentally sweet; liminal bitterness; determined spinal acid. Stature suggestive of tablecloth dining—predominantly dry, mineral, and glossy. Retral spiral curls of ruby grapefruit and smoke, but also roses and sandalwood. 2022 J.J. is a bridge between state and flourish; saturated with flavor; stable mineral in substance; with great lithic clarity. It’s the goldilocks in the set of J.J. 2020-2022; the most classical and measured of the three.
