October 2, 2023 - $32 red Burgundy 2021 Gérard Raphet Bourgogne Les Grands Champs. Light-mid rub, viscous (13.0 alc.); red fruit, cherries, smokey, stemmy nose; low-mid acids; low-mid tannins; semi-long, balanced, Pinot fruit finish. 16 UC Davis scale, 90 others.

September 18, 2023 - This was really beautiful for a Bourgogne rouge. Really clear clove and cinnamon on the nose with some strawberry. On the palate, red fruit, mostly strawberry with the clove and maybe all spice. Medium acidity, very refined tannins and a lingering finish with lots of clove and strawberry again. Really enjoyable.
