May 12, 2024 - Retail $100. Ridiculously Heavy Bottle (). Under cork. 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc. I bought this and a 2005 a dozen years ago online for just over $60 a bottle and I had planned to open the two of them together as a mini-vertical, but, well, that didn't happen. Oh well, this one is not getting any better. Quite dark in the glass with plenty of spice and a decided herbal element and there are touches of fruit on the edges, mostly dark (blackberry, cassis, plum), but I fear this might be on the downward slope. The palate follows that fear with somewhat muted fruit, an intense spice note on the mid palate, more than ample acidity, and a surprising amount of tannins on the finish. Yeah, this is still excellent, but I feel it has dropped a step (or two) of what it once was, signaling that it is (passed?) time to drink. Excellent. 90 Points.

December 20, 2023 - Tasted this at a wine dinner at Tunglok Signatures (Orchard Rendezvous Hotel) with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: A good wine for Christmas and the New Year.
A seriously good wine. Beautiful aromatics on the nose with a touch of vegetal or herbal tone. Big ripe plums coupled with blackberries and plums. Dark chocolates, espresso, and a touch of tobacco.
On the palate, all the elements are well integrated and worked harmoniously together to bring out the best of the Chilean wine.
An exceptionally good wine. -

November 5, 2022 - My last bottle and on peak form. A old meet new world cab that rewarded the patience of almost 2 decades. Started fading on day 2. Drink now.
