Community Tasting Notes 6

  • Tuscany Terry Likes this wine: 89 points

April 10, 2024 - Nice berry aromas - cherry, blueberry, and strawberry. On tasting I also got plum, blackberry, and a little smoke. Medium acidity and nice tannins.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, blueberry, cherry and plum. It tastes like strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, cherry, plum and toast. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

October 26, 2023 - Gorgeous Montepulciano, intensely dark and deep, but super fresh and lively too, beautiful herbal aromas, as well as hints of violets, so juicy and energetic on the palate

June 17, 2023 - Very good quaffing wine. Not much in the nose but the palate is rich with dark fruit, some dark herbs and good acid.

  • sfgalton Does not like this wine: 83 points

May 31, 2023 - Had a lot of the expected elements there, but it all felt a bit disjointed and was ultimately underwhelming

May 23, 2023 - Lots of dark, almost over-ripe tasting fruit, with tart acidity, making for a not too great drinking experience. Wondering if this was a flawed bottle (cooked, oxidized?)
