December 3, 2023 - A new wine for me. Bought off the list at Cypress, McMinnville. Pop and poured. Drunk over a couple hours.
A chalky-stony nose with citrus more than orchard fruit, some subtle florals. It's a little tight to the vest upon opening but opens with air time. Lively mid weighted and fresh on the palate with more chalk, lemon curd, and some jasmine on the palate. There's a degree of intensity I seem to get in '21 WV Chardonnay. Excellent extract with beautiful acid balance, giving it cut and detail. Finishes clean and simultaneously long. There's sense of grace, lift and freshness to this wine. Youthful and outstanding.
