January 11, 2024 - Pop and pour. Cheerful nose of fruit and forest floor. Some red and black fruits on the palate and an unexpected (for Zin) mossy funk that is not at all unpleasant. Somewhat bracing tannins at this point. I like this wine now and wish I had another bottle to compare in a couple years.

May 3, 2023 - Napa Valley Visit May23; 5/1/2023-5/4/2023 (Napa Valley): Eye: garnet color. Nose: red berries, herbal, forest. Palate: high tannins, well balanced, medium finish. JI=2. 620 cases made.
